Performance
Engine Power
Enjoy high-powered strength out of the i-FORCE 3.5L twin turbo V6 engine, which outputs 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. That’s all matched to a 10-speed ECT-I transmission to keep everything efficient. Sequential shift model uphill/downhill shift logic and two tow/haul modes continue the Tundra’s smart features.
Towing & Hauling
If towing and hauling is what you need done, look no further than the Tundra. It can tow up to 12,000 lbs, all thanks to its high-strength engine, delivering power and efficiency in full measure. The Tow/Haul mode improves throttle response on lighter loads, while Tow/Haul+ powers up the throttle response for tougher loads, like RVs and large boats.
Off-Road Features
Towing, hauling, off-road, the Tundra is a pickup that can do it all. Standard part-time 4-wheel drive and available features like downhill assist control, locking rear differential, Multi-Terrain Select and Crawl Control mean this Tundra is uniquely fit to handle snow, mud, rocks, sand and more.
Suspension
The Tundra may be a large and in charge pickup, but it always provides a smooth ride no matter the terrain beneath. It features a double wishbone suspension for the front and a 5-link multi-coil suspension for the rear. An adaptive variable suspension is available on select models.
Hybrid Models
Hybrid Engine Ability
The Tundra Hybrid models pair the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 with an i-FORCE MAX engine, to reach 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. You’ll enjoy quick acceleration thanks to the 500 lb-ft of torque from a stand still, letting you get in and go with heavy loads in tow.
Towing
Don’t confuse the Tundra as being a hybrid with meaning that it isn’t fit to get to work. The hybrid models have a towing capacity of 5,067 kg (11,170 lbs), along with a host of advanced towing tech features.

Safety
Toyota Safety Sense 2.5
No vehicle brand does safety quite like Toyota. Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 delivers the latest and greatest in active safety system technologies. These many systems include:
- Lane Tracing Assist
- Automatic High Beams
- Left Turn Intersection Support
- Pre-Collision System (with Pedestrian Detection & Bicycle Detection)
- Full Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (with Curve Speed Management)
- Lane Departure Alert (with Steering Assist, and enhanced Line & Road Recognition)
Blind Spot Monitor
The Tundra is a lot of truck to manage, but there are numerous systems on-board to make everything just a touch easier. The Blind Spot Monitor (with Rear Cross Traffic Alert) will let you know if another vehicle slides into your blind spot. Rear Cross Traffic Alert does additional work by notifying you if other vehicles are approaching when backing out of a parking spot.
Trailer Merge Warning
Pulling a trailer means your blind spot is going to be even larger. The Trailer Merge Warning technology for the Tundra works by estimating the trailer length, then works in conjunction with the Blind Spot Monitor to alert you of any vehicles that may have got into your blind spot that you can’t see.
